Everybody has a Story!

I’m Jess Stainbrook, an eight-time Emmy® Award-winning visual storyteller and documentary producer/director. I’ll be your guide through the self-autobiography stoytelling process. I’ve been telling other people’s stories for about 40 years. And now I’d like to help YOU tell yours!

DON’T JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.

There are lots of scammers and charlatans out there. I encourage you to do a Google search on me, or go look up my TV and movie resume on IMDb: http://imdb.me/jessstainbrook

WHAT TO EXPECT

This will be an adventure of discovery – *joyfully empowering self-storytelling for YOU! This design of my course will build your confidence and improve your self-esteem. You will be a better communicator through the written word, with your family and loved ones, and with your community. You will develop a deeper compassion and empathy for people around you... and yourself!  But most importantly, you will begin to learn how to document the story of your life through writing and storytelling.

While you may be seeking to create a memoir or autobiography, whether for a book project or just as a keepsake for your tribe, or want to just become a better writer for business or pleasure, the JESS*GAB course will help you navigate this path.

THE COURSE

Meeting weekly for two hours over an eight-week period, you will be working in a small group no larger than 8-10 students like yourself. Each week, I will be guiding you through writing two-pages on a particular topic designed to explore and draw out your memories and life-events. You’ll be encouraged to shape those stories weekly in a two-page document to share with others for positive feedback and constructive critique. This is a key and foundational part of the JESS*GAB training and writing process. Everything is designed to connect you with others as you all go on this journey of self-discovery.  And don’t worry, there is no previous writing experience required! I will guide you through the entire process.

Course schedules will be posted soon. Email me at jessgab(a)1615.tv for more info.
